Uzbekistan restaurant has been opened back in 1951 and it was 1997 when the interior designwas completely renewed by craftsmen who were invited from Tashkent and created this uniquestorehouse of the Oriental decor. Torches at the entrance is an obligatory design element of anOriental palace and they serve as hearth guardians. Divans and hassocks, mosaic and carving,mahogany floors and Syrian carpets made of silk and wool, carved artisan furniture and ceilingdressing which is still there from the old Uzbekistan, this fairytale interior design looks as if it leapedfrom the pages of a beautiful book in a golden cover.

At Uzbekistan we serve dishes from Uzbek, Arab, Chinese, and Azeri cuisine. It's one of the leastplaces where you can try authentic kazy from Soviet Central Asia and Uzbek soup mashkhurda. Andwho on Earth can say no to Bai soup with stuffed quail? The Uzbek menu of the restaurant alonehas 11 different soups. The bravest of you can order chargrilled lamps as an entrée. Which, erm,lamps? Just ask the waiter!
